From a recent wedding of Slyvest and Nicole. Simply love the expressions from the bride, especially when she got slighly drunk towards the end of the wedding.

“Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a little bling bling will be cool” thats the theme of Jason and Ripple’s wedding. Had a blast shooting this wedding with awesome and funny company of lovely friends.
A recent casual shoot for Ryan and Winnie. Check back again for more images!

Another awesome wedding that I have the honour to cover for Edwin and Janrie. I covered their wedding in KL and Singapore. The bridal party rockz big time. Lots of love, lots of friendship and not forgetting lots of fun! Here are some favourites:
Its been 3 months since I started working in my studio @ SPECTRA. I apologise for not updating everyone about life @ SPECTRA. Its a wonderful place to work not just because its close to HOME (within cycling distance, keke), its really close to nature. SPECTRA used to an old fire station located along Upper Bukit Timah Road. People who stayed in the West will know this place well, you cant missed it when travelling along this road to town.
I got myself a small little space (you wont believe what it was before I took this space). It was totally RAW when I took over. Just a roof and 3 walls, no window, no door and just cement flooring. Took me 2 weeks in the midst of crazy wedding season and overseas shoot. I’m happy to share my own little work space @ SPECTRA.

You cant miss my studio the moment you walk in from the entrance. This whole place is characterised by colourful blocks (former accomodation block for the firemen). Mine is situated at the Yellow Block (don’t ask why it is not purple …… ).

It was just patches of grasses when I took over. This garden took me 3 months and $$$$ to do up. Somehow this little garden attracted alot of attention. Some people mistook my place as a landscaping company …. LOL! Perhaps its a good biz opportunity in the future.

Trying to get creative with a “Rock” solid signage!

10 generations of small little red fish inside the clay bowl and it is not stopping.

Another view from the outside.

I kept a pair of love birds (Mudan) outside my studio. Meet Gugu and Kuku!

Close up view of Gugu (left) and Kuku (right) in their small little house.

Here’s the view from the inside of my studio. Its a small space (less than 200sqft). The walls are painted black leaving the brick textures as it is. The floor tiles are black with textures to match the wall. The far right corner is a expanded 2 seater sofa for my couples to sit (no, I dun sleep there), although it gets quite tempting especially after lunch. A 42″ plasma tv for slideshow viewing. Walls are filled with canvases, fine art prints and accolades.

Here’s the view of the other side. Basically my work space. More wall mounts of my fine art collection.

Close up view of my work space. The view of the outside is superb especially when it rains.
If you guys like to drop by for a drink or chit chat, you are most welcome!

Kyoto is known throughout the world for its stunning beauty. Tourists are drawn year-round by the majestic palaces, statues, and villas, as well as by the carefully tended gardens; each spring, dozens of varieties of cherry trees bloom in Kyoto.
I will be travelling to Kyoto from 8 to 15 Feb 2011 for a bridal shoot. Although its still early now but I thought its better early than late for your preparation. If you are keen to join me, email me at contactme@moretopurple.com to find out more.

Here are some images shot in Autumn 2009:

The bridal Party is awesome because, they are beautiful pple, they are “Game” for anything and everything, they are “best of buddies” … because they can shout “Huat ah” anytime, anywhere when call upon … LOL!

I shot Francis & Jaymee pre-wed in early August. Shooting their Pre-wed its like going for an outing. No agenda, jus move ard and shoot freely. And I know shooting their Wedding day will be exciting.

I was introduced to Ken & Angeline by Calvin & Grace whom I shot their Pre-wed in Venice. I first met Ken & Angeline in Mos Burger near where I stay. The first impression I got from Angeline was her smile. I can’t really explain but it really feels great and appreciated whenever she smile in agreement to what you said. Ken is pretty much the opposite and he rarely smiles. I thought to myself that is gonna be tough on the actual day. I must say it was great fun shooting their wedding day especially with the group of fun loving bridesmaid and groomsmen and so was Ken. Here are some images to share from their wedding.

I never got the chance to meet Gary and Joewell until a few days before their wedding. Both Gary and Joewell are from Toronto but they decided to have their wedding in Singapore and their guest flew from all over the world to attend their wedding. And I was surprised to see a guest who happens to be Gary’s cousin and whom I got to know during a wedding shoot in Brisbane. That’s how small the world can be!
